Somedaydream: Burning Bright

SOMEDAYDREAM RELEASES DEBUT ALBUM

He started off as an Internet sensation but by the time his first single Hey Daydreamer went on radio, there was no stopping Rez Toledo also known as Somedaydream from winning the hearts of a bigger audience. The massive radio airplay also translated into more votes as his music video was released on MYX. Seeing his talent and a refreshing change in the OPM scene, it landed him a spot as one of the performers of the 2011 MYX Music Awards where people finally saw him perform live. Though it is not the usual sound you will hear on OPM today, fans embraced him. So when he followed it up with his second single Delivery Boys, his name has been a prominent one especially to teens and students. The result: Somedaydream became the first OPM electronic act to hit big on the mainstream.

Now after much anticipation, Somedaydream finally releases his self-titled debut album. It features his two hit singles Hey Daydreamer and Delivery Boys plus additional tracks like Do-do With You, Sing This Song and Break. The album also includes the acoustic version of Hey Daydreamer

He has also released his Christmas single Christmas In Purple which can be downloaded by texting SD to 2346. The single is now on heavy rotation on top radio stations in the Philippines.

“I’m so excited to have finally released my debut album,” Somedaydream said. “I’ve always love this kind of music and I’m thankful that people appreciate it. I’m definitely proud of it. ”

Mentored and managed by ex-Hale vocalist turned solo artist Champ Lui Pio, this 21 year old Ateneo de Manila University student was chosen as MYX Celebrity VJ for June 2011, was named as Breakthrough Artist for 2011 at Yahoo OMG Awards and was selected as one Yahoo Philippines Icons for 2011.

Somedaydream’s debut album is now out in CDs under Mecca Music and MCA Music.
